When a page states a genuine Rolex specification, we prefer manufacturer documentation and current product pages. Movement specifications are checked against the movement maker where available. Third-party articles may be used for historical context but are not treated as stronger evidence than primary manufacturer sources.
How replica claims are handled
Replica specifications are not assumed from appearance. Seller terms such as “Swiss”, “904L”, “clone”, “1:1”, “waterproof” and caliber names are presented as claims that require evidence. Where a movement's published specification conflicts with a listing—for example a date-only base movement in a day/date watch—we explain the compatibility question instead of repeating the claim.
Corrections and dates
Substantive pages include an editorial review date. If current genuine references change, we update the baseline while preserving useful historical context. Material errors should be corrected rather than hidden behind additional keyword text.
